What would today be considered sexual harassment was commonplace in the 70s and even into the 80s. It’s just how things were, it was seen to be the norm in society generally. Just look at the sitcoms from the time - full of sexual innuendo and usually portraying young women in the workplace as ‘up for it’. I’m sure it must have been pretty miserable for many women but there were those girls who used it to their advantage as well to get on in their careers.
