Where/best place to post you media?

Hi all! Trying to get used to the site. I'm really a newbie as far as posting more than a few pics and videos l. Wanted to ask where do you think is the best place to post your media? In a gallery of your own? In one of the category threads? Somewhere else? Can you put the same media in different places? Appreciate your thoughts and opinions. Thank you!
