So about a year ago I brought the idea of her with her ex, the only one she said she would ever do. Then he started
To act to good for her so she / we called it off. Then my wife said she would have lost respect for me if we went through
With it. Was she not really wanting to do it, doing it just for me? I am afraid to even mention it again. She will bring it up during

If she says she would have lost respect for you if you would have went through with it, then she's already lost respect for you because you would have done it if not for his rude actions. Unless she meant that she would have lost respect for you if you would have overlooked him acting too uppity and proceeded instead of shutting him down. I would clarify which she meant, going through with the act, or if you hadn't stood up to his rudeness.

No ex's.....PERIOD! To me, that's just asking for trouble. If he is the only one she would consider, you should just let it go.
